    Hi...

I also would like this kind of functions.. I have a list of countries located on my local database. How can i load this list as dropdown on a certain field and can also have an auto complete like behavior if a user type in on the said field.

Hope anyone can help... thanks so much..

I tried all solutions. Its not possible to add values dynamically (i.e. load from text file or database). But you can use checkmark group in abbyy, which is same as dropdown. You have to set values in that manually. Auto complete is in build in this. You can try this. Its easy and fast.

    Hello,

Try to use the External sources of permitted values property as described at the Program settings > Document Definitions > Field properties > Text entry fields > Data types of the text entry field. The option allows connect to database.

You may also display the possible values by using IField.Suggest mehod.
