Document Assembly Error Answered

Hi,

I've run into an issue that I've never experienced before.  I have a single file that actually contains two invoices separated by a few "annex" pages between the two invoices.  While testing these are correctly broken out based on my header/footer details and the annex pages are labeled as such and disregarded, as they should be.  When our users attempt to process these though, it gives us a document assembly error (incorrect page order and/or page set).  It only captures the first invoice and then seems to be thrown off by the annex pages.  I've attached a screenshot of my document assembly settings. What other settings have I not considered that could produce this problem?

Edit: the attached settings are in my document definition w/FlexiLayout.  This document definition is then imported into a larger project for use.  Is there a project level setting that could conflict with these?

    Just noticed the following settings...

    Project Properties > Image Preprocessing > Create new document automatically when document definition is applied.

    Image Import Profiles > Hot Folder Profile Properties > Image Preprocessing > Create new document for each image file

    Since I don't have an image import profile setup on my local machine during testing could this explain why it works during the design stage but not once the document definition is published and in production?  In production the users are dropping documents to be recognized into a hot folder with the above mentioned settings.

    Hello Mike,

    If you cannot resolve the issue by setting "Create new document automatically when document definition is applied" on the level of the used Image Import Profile, please look at this topic for the similar situation description:

    Thank you.  I will experiment today.  Just to clarify, my issue is slightly different than the one expressed in your linked post.  A simple version of my recognition results when loading a single multipage PDF document that contains two separate invoices and some annex pages, looks like this...

    Invoice (correct - this page contains the header detail)

    Invoice (correct - this page contains the footer detail)

    Annex (correct - unrelated non-blank page)

    Annex (incorrect - should be recognized as invoice header)

    Annex (incorrect - should be recognized as invoice footer)

    The linked post sounds like they have a blank page in between the header and footer pages of a single "invoice" for example.  Not sure if 2 layouts would solve my problem as a result?  Hopefully the hot folder settings fix the issue.  I will report back once I do some testing.

    Success.  My issue was indeed the conflicting settings between the main project and hot folder.  For anyone else experiencing this same issue see my second post above as a possible solution.
