Using .fbt pattern files

Why is it that one cannot utilize recognition patterns using the new .fbt format?   FlexiCapture only allows the use of .ptn format, which as been deprecated in FineReader (for at least 2 releases now).

How do you expect your users to train new pattern sets when your FineReader product no longer supports the .ptn  format?

    Hello,

    If it is an option for you, you can create user pattern in .ptn format in ABBYY FineReader Professional/Corporate Edition 9.0 (or earlier) or in ABBYY FineReader Engine 9.0 (or earlier) or you may contact technical support on this issue.
