I use FlexiCapture 11, standalone for recognizing documents with table of checkmarks (200 checkmarks on the page).
By unknown reason some checkmarks not recognized. They looks good, don't see any reason for wrong recognition. For example fully filled square recognized as not checked.
I tried to create new template with using grouped checkmarks instead the table. It recognized better, but some of them still wrong without any reason.
Do you know why is it?
Some of checkmarks are recognized incorrectly

I've found that using 'Auto' Recognition produces the best results for checkmarks.
This is because 'Auto' uses the actual image of the empty checkbox on the document definition image, and 'Square' uses what ABBYY assumes a square checkbox should look like
For example, If your checkbox isn't a perfect square ABBYY might have issues when comparing it to a perfect square with 'square recognition'. But if you are set to 'auto' recognition it will compare it to the image used to create the document definition, not a perfect square
Hello,
Are you using fixed forms or flexible forms?
If you are using fixed forms, please use the blank/unfilled profile that has exactly the same format as your filled forms for creating the Document Definition and make sure that you are using correct option in the “checkmark type” in the recognition tab in the field properties.
If the problem still persists, we'd like to look at samples of blank form/filled form, please attach them here.
