I have some invoices from that i need to extract a substring of data from a cell, it has the same format, it is always a few digits, then a space and a few more digits. I would like to extract the data before the space, is it possible?. i`m using standalone version. Attached image.

Yes, you may do it. You may take all cell’s value as string and extract the desired data as substring by auto-correction in the Document Definition level, Field properties (Using scripts in ABBYY FlexiCapture > Scripts for customizing processing stages > Types of scripts > Autocorrection script).

When using autocorrection script how can I access the vendorid? like this doesn't work?

or is there another way?

The autocorrection script does not work with another fields or registration parameters directly. To access the vendorid and adjust the field value accordingly, please use event handlers scripts or script stages.
the VendorID field address would be
@"Invoice Layout\Vendor\VendorID"

I am also looking to extract a substring from a table cell. I have clear identifiers to extend the substring, just not aware of how it can be done in abbyy.
