We are running FC 11 Standalone. We have a stack of searchable PDF files (with between 80-500 pages each), where each first page is a cover sheet with a barcode. We need to extract the barcode value and use it to name the file. I have created a document definition with one section, and annex pages. It does work in principle, but I have two problems with it:
1. Every page is counted against our license count, even pages that are not processed. We don't want to reduce our license count for pages that we don't need to process. (there are close to 320,000 pages in just under 1,000 files - we only need to process the first page, so it would be a very expensive project, if every page was counted).
2. Annex pages are output as PDF images. I would like the pages we don't process to stay searchable.
Is there a way?
Process only the first page of a file Answered

Hello,
Hello,
The license counts all processed pages even marked “annex” or “Unknown”.
