Dear Abbyy-Experts,
We have problems detecting the content in a positioned frame. Normally the frame is used to allow handwritten entries but sometimes the entries are prefilled using Helvetica Bold font. In the attached screenshot you see two fields which are configured equally. One (blue) is recongized the other is not recognized (yellow).
Settings for the two fields is:
- Positioned Frame
- Typographic
- Hand-printed
Looking forward finding a solution.

Hello,
To recognize your values correctly please customize your Data type on the Data tab in the Field properties window. Please see the “Specifying data types for text entry fields” article.

The chosen data type may significantly affect the recognition result - when there is a specific pattern to be matched that is set up by data type, then during Recognition the variants that match this pattern gain bonuses and are more likely to become the final result.

We have tried to reproduce your issue and all samples were recognized correctly. Could you please check what build number do you use and upgrade your system to the lastest one (12.0.1.530).If the problem still persists you should address this issue to the regional support because the detailed investigation of your complex is necessary.
