I am new to Abbyy Flexicapture. I have a scenario where i need to extract information from a pdf file containing 40 pages. However it has only 5 pages (Page 3 to page 7) worth of data that needs extraction and rest can be like annexes.
Also, the in PDF file, the data that i need to extract is Handwritten.
Should i split the file into multiple pages and then create document definition? or should can upload single file with 40 pages while creating doc Definition. Please help
I am not able to decide whether to go for Flexicapture or flexi layout studio. Can someone please help me?

Hello,
If I correctly understand your scenario, you should create a Document Definition and set an “Automatically when document definition is applied” option (project properties > image pre-processing options).
A Document Definition describes the location of document elements and indicates fields to be used in data extraction. You may chose as flexible as fixed form for your purpose, independently of the Document Definition’s structure (more details see here: https://help.abbyy.com/en-us/flexicapture/12/distributed_administrator/templates_main).
