    Hi Roselin,

Do you find any error message in the Event Log? Have you activated Hot folder import in Administration and Monitoring console?
If yes, does the user you granted rights is the same as user that runs Processing Station service?
Have you setup Exceptions and Processed folders? And can you find your PDF files in any of these two folders, or PDF files are still in the same hotfolder?

    Best regards,
    Vladimir

    Hi Mr. Vladmir,

I too have similar issue. Batches are getting created on the station but images are not imported from the email. All settings are proper and users have been granted rights.

    Thanks,

    Sara

Keep in mind when using FlexiCapture Distributed, the Processing Station is actually doing the grabbing of the file.  You need to check the windows service that the processing station is running under and make sure to give it both NT and Share permission to full modify the document since it needs to be able to move it.

Hello everyone, I'm also getting the error message "Cannot access the Hot Folder directory".

Per Vladimir's reply, I've taken the following steps:

    1. Do you find any error message in the Event Log? Have you activated Hot folder import in Administration and Monitoring console?
Yes, I receive the error message in the event log.
Yes, the hot folder has been activated in the Administration and Monitoring console.

    2. If yes, does the user you granted rights is the same as user that runs Processing Station service?
Not exactly sure what you mean by this. If you mean the user in the Admin Console, then yes, I've granted all users Administrator rights.
Otherwise, I'm not quite sure how to determine which user is running the Procession Station, can you help me figure this out?

    3. Have you setup Exceptions and Processed folders? And can you find your PDF files in any of these two folders, or PDF files are still in the same hotfolder?
Yes, those have been set up, but those folders were never auto-created as I'm hitting an error early on.
The files are still sitting in the hotfolder for me.

Per Scott's suggestion - "check the windows service that the processing station is running under and make sure to give it both NT and Share permission to full modify the document since it needs to be able to move it."

    1. I've granted the "Network Service" read and write permissions to the hotfolder to no avail.

Any other suggestions? I'm really stuck here and there isn't much more help out there other than this and one other community post.

    Stephen,

Contact ABBYY support.  This can easily be resolved in a 15min call.  There only a couple security setting that need to be check.  I suspect the folders might not be there or needs further permisison set.

Hi Scott, thanks for the suggestion. I've been trying to contact support via phone since yesterday and I haven't been able to reach a human yet. Is there a better number than what is on the website?

Submit a request to create a case. Don't try to call because support could be in a different time zone.  If you created a case, let me know what the case number and I can check the status.

My case# is 358307. I'm in the NYC area and I'm calling the west coast office during business hours, but not sure what the office staff vs. wfh situation is at ABBYY at the moment.

I'd be very happy to hop on a call to iron out this issue, but at this point not sure how the phone call would ever initiate if I can't reach the office.

Hello, would you be able to please share the resolution to this? I believe I'm running into the same issue. I believe my service account has full access to the hotfolder location and the Processing Tasks and Exceptions folders were created, but when it starts to process I am getting the message "An error occurred during file postprocessing for the native file hotfolder: code=5, exception=Access to \\[Shared Network Folder] was denied.

    Jordan,

In that case it was an issue with the service account permission too.  Please create a support case and a support rep can get on  a quick call to help with your issue.
