I downloaded the android sample code and tried on some of the images and it did not worked it did not gave me the correct text that was on the image.
I also downloaded the sample images that are provided and by using that images also it was the same result .
what I did was : Registered with Abbyy created an application [received the password in the mail] than downloaded the Android sample placed my App id and the password in the file and than clicked a picture from a diary but the result was not as expected
is there anything I am missing ?

The steps are right. The credentials should be specified in src/abbyy/ocrsdk/android/AsyncProcessTask.java . Could you please describe what's going wrong (do you receive an error, get an empty result or get a result with some mistakes)?
