I started working on a inhouse ABBYY engine solution that was coded 15 years ago.
The project was upgraded to ABBYY FineReader Engine 11 (Java 8, simple windows application).
Our main processes are :
- Changing tif images into pdf ocred documents (in a lot of different languages).
- Do some on the fly OCR on some images.
- Update and correct through a GUI the OCRed result before publication.
We're actually just using the simplest OCR functionality (from one the first ABBYY FineReader release), everything else was done inhouse which makes the code difficult to upgrade.
I've been trying to find projects, exemple, base on the version 11.
But even on the website I can't download the samples codes.
Does anyone have some good project repo to share ? Or knows how to download the samples examples ?
