Get text from id cards and passport

Hi,

I'm new to the ocrsdk and I want to get text from id cards and passport images. Can you send me a link or short desription on how to do?

ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK could be used for your purpose. The service supports the full-page and field-level recognition modes. You can try both these modes for your usage scenario:

In the first case use the processImage method with the textExtraction profile and export the recognition result to the xml export format. This format contains recognized text with its coordinates. Then you can parse the output and extract all needed data on your side.

In the second case use the processFields method. This method allows you to recognize several text fields on a page with specified coordinates of each these fields in an XML file. However, it is necessary to understand that this method cannot be used in case the documents are quite different every time. You have chance to find the solution only if the documents are fixed / static and differ only in skew or rotation. Also please pay your attention on the article with some details in documentation.
