  Hi Mehdi, Farsi is already available in other ABBYY solutions such as FineReader Server, FlexiCapture, FineReader SDK for high-volume document conversion automation, data capture, and OCR integration. As to the desktop FineReader PDF, we do not have plans to add Farsi in the nearest releases, however, in the future it may be added. Please follow our news: we make the product updates quite regularly and inform about the new and udated features with newslettters and blog posts.

  If you have a specific project in mind that would require Farsi support in the desktop FineReader PDF 15, please provide us the details to sales@abbyy.com.

  No, I have no particular idea, only if Persian language is added to ABBYY FineReader, millions of people can use this desktop software in universities, offices and different places, and I hope you will make the hearts of the Iranian people happy by adding Persian language in the near future.

  Please add the Persian Language to ABBYY FineReader. The Arabic Language doesn't have four letters (پ، ژ، گ، چ) to convert Persian Language (Farsi).

  I see that this request for Persian (Farsi) OCR support in FineReader PDF was raised more than 5 years ago, but unfortunately, it is still not available. Persian is spoken by over 120 million people worldwide (in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and diaspora communities), and it is one of the most important languages in universities, government offices, and businesses in the region.

  Currently, many users are forced to look for less accurate or unofficial tools, while ABBYY is globally recognized as the most professional OCR solution. Adding Farsi support to the desktop FineReader PDF would not only respond to a long-standing demand but also open a huge new market for ABBYY, especially in academic and enterprise sectors.

  Please reconsider adding Farsi support soon — it will make a big difference for millions of users and continue ABBYY’s reputation as a truly global OCR solution.
