OCRed Text is A Shade of Gray, Not Black

Hi,

After successfully saving a recognized PDF as text and pictures only, really happy with the results. 

One thing I can't understand.  It seems the text that was generated is all a shade of gray.  It's DARK gray, but it seems like its not black.  What do you think happened?  Is there any way when saving a recognized PDF as text and pictures only to define the color of the text that wil be used?

And, for the file that I DO have...is there any way of modifying the color of the text that was used in the entire document, so that it goes from gray to black.

    Hi OT,

    The color of text is defined based on what color it is in the initial document. In case of the documents originated from scanning, if the scan was too light - the black text will appear grey and will be so detected when converting.

    You can try either to darken the document image with Imade Editor tools before converting it (increasing the contrast may help too), or to change the color of the text page by page in the Text window after conversion and before saving.

    As to your question about the existing PDFs, there is a posssibility to change the text color in Edit mode: click "Edit" button, select the text, and select a new color for it with the Font Color button on the right (see the screenshot below showing how it looks in FineReader PDF 15). However, this is suitable only for local edits, you can adjust the color this way only piece by piece. It is not possible to do for the entire document at once.
