To recognize text in images and PDFs, I use ABBYY FineReader 15. After recognizing PDF with text in the form of curves, the application added a text layer to the document. However, the text of this layer is not transparent, as it should be, but is superimposed on top of the old page image. Slight offsets of the letters create an unpleasant double image effect.
How to get rid of it, and save the document with text invisible, but available for selection and copying?
Recognize / Recognize Document...
Recognized text will be placed on an invisible text layer under the page images.
OCR languages: Russian and English (Change Languages...)
Preprocessing (You can improve recognition quality by enabling image preprocessing. This may change the appearance of your document)
Correct page orientation (off)
Deskew images and correct image resolution (off)

Hello Ayyan,
It looks like the option "Searchable PDF settings" is set to "Text over the page image". Please check the setting in the Options:
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Yuriy
Yuriy, thank you for trying to help me.
The "Searchable PDF settings" is set to "Text under the page image". I once again opened the dead PDF, recognized it, set the value to "Text over the page image" and saved it as "Searchable PDF (* .pdf)" - the document view has not changed, the letters are also double.
Hello Ayyan Moyer,
I created a support ticket regarding your situation. Please await an email from us.
Kind regards,
Margarita
