Scanned pages are often not ideally straight, so I'm trying to find the option to adjust rotation (not by 90`, just slightly) without having to recognize text.

Hi Yoan! In FineReader PDF OCR Editor, it's one of image preprocessing options which corrects skewed images - Deskew images:
It's applied when you add pages to the document to process it, either from scanner or from ready files: images or scanned PDFs. It detects and applies necessary rotation angle automatically.
If you don't want the images that you're adding to be recognized automatically, set the options as follows:
If you want to correct skew of a page of an existing scanned PDF that you open with FineReader PDF Editor, you can use menu Edit -> Enhance page images...:
This will create a deskewed copy of your document.
There's no tool to rotate an image by a user-specified angle in FineReader PDF.
Hope it helps!
