Can you turn auto-rotation in ABBYY FineReader off?

When I drag existing PDFs into ABBYY FineReader 15, they are automatically auto-rotated into whatever orientation the software thinks is correct. This wouldn't be a huge problem, except for some reason if a PDF page has text written vertically on it anywhere, not only does the software automatically orientate this from portrait into landscape mode (which I wouldn't want it to do anyway), it also splits the original PDF page in two, effectively rendering the page useless and unreadable (and subsequently ruining the entire PDF, as far as I'm concerned).

How do I stop ABBYY FineReader 15 from automatically rotating added PDF pages?

    Hi Damien,

I assume it happens when you're adding a PDF to the OCR Editor for conversion or at least clicking Recognize button to recognize the document in the PDF Editor, as it shouldn't happen when you just open a PDF document in the PDF Editor for viewing it or doing other operations on it such as commenting, editing, signing, etc.

To prevent FineReader PDF from trying to correct text orientation and to split book-matched pages automatically before conversion, go to Options, Image Processing tab, and deselect Split facing pages and Correct page orientation options:

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Yuriy
