Hello,
Is it possible to edit scans (contrast/erase places on the page) AFTER I have done the OCR and corrected the mistakes, while preserving the correstions?
When I correct the digital text and subsequently try to edit the picture under it (the scan) the page becomes unrecognised and I have to do the OCR all over again, as well as the corrections.
I have ABBY fine reader 12.
Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello Alzbeta,
Unfortunately, it's not possible in FineReader 12. However, in FineReader PDF 15 some modifications to the image of the document in a scanned PDF can be done, such as erasing parts of the image or the text with the Eraser tool, enhancing visual appearance of the text, redacting sensitive information, etc. Still, even in FineReader PDF 15, the image modifications that you may find in the Image Editor toolset and that you can use before converting a scanned document to a PDF or other format to improve the quality of conversion, cannot be applied after converting a page without the need to recognize it again.
Best regards,
Yuriy
