Remove all images but scanned text

Greetings,

How could I clean a scanned document that in each page has a finger (it was phone-photo-scanned) through removing all images and leaving only original scanned text (Text under page image). I was doing so with the Eraser tool, but it has 230 pages and it's very tiresome as there are many big black spots on the pages, so it is not only the fingers that I have to manually remove.

Thank you for your help.

    Hi,
FineReader Engine has a robust set of tools that will help you adjust the software to match your own need.

In this case, the most efficient way of refining the document's quality will be to use the OnCrop Method to create a region around the text with a reasonable margin from the border of a document just to exclude the unwanted fingers from the picture.
As they are too large a concentration of black dots to remove them using the RemoveGarbage method, without doing any harm to the rest of the text will be impossible.

Instead, we can use RemoveGarbage as well as RemoveNoise for further quality improvement by removing small black dots and background noises in case they are still present after cropping the image.

Thank you very much for answering my question.

I reviewed all the information to the best of my possibilities, but I couldn't find the way to make use of those scripts or tools. The RemoveGarbage and RemoveNoise seem like excellent tools, but I can't figure out the way to use them. Is there any tutorial o article on this? (I already search and found nothing; maybe I don't know how to search).

    Thank you
