Could you please explain how to use the "new tabbed user interface"? When I open multiple pdf files, each file opens in its own window. I don't see an option to open all files in one window, each in their own tab.

Hello! "Tabbed interface" is about the tabs in the main functional menu of PDF Editor in FineReader:
"Document", "Organize Pages" and so on are the tabs where corresponding pools of functions are collected.
Unfortunately, opening multiple documents in separate document tabs instead of separate windows is not supported by FineReader PDF.

In my daily work, I often have multiple documents open at the same time. At the moment, each file opens in a separate program window, which makes it harder to keep track of all the documents and requires constant switching between windows.
My suggestions:
Implement a true tabbed document interface — similar to modern web browsers or tools like PDF-XChange or Acrobat — allowing multiple documents to be opened in separate tabs within a single FineReader window. This would make working with multiple files much more convenient and organized.
Add a cross-document search feature that can search for keywords across all currently open PDFs (or even across selected files/folders). This is a feature available in many other PDF readers and would be extremely helpful for research, legal work, and other professional use cases.
Why this would be helpful:
Improved overview and more efficient workflow when dealing with multiple documents
Faster navigation between open files
Reduced desktop clutter, especially on smaller screens
Significant productivity benefits for frequent users
