Currently the selection for graphic selections on OCR are squared off areas. Is there the capability to select circular sections? or arcs?

Hi Christopher,
You may try to edit recognition areas as described in our help article: https://help.abbyy.com/en-us/finereader/16/user_guide/editareas/#addareapart. It will allow you to add or remove some rectangular segments of the area.
At the moment only rectangular areas are detected or can be drawn in FineReader PDF.
