  You can compose basic structure for your PDF form in one of the two following ways.

  1. Using PDF Editor in FineReader PDF 15.

  • Run FineReader PDF 15, click Ctrl+N to create a blank PDF.
  • Click "PDF Tools" button on the right of the main tool pane, then click "Edit" button on the tool pane that appears.
  • Compose your form structure by adding texts with "Add text" tool, pictures with "Picture" tool, and so on. For example, you may want to add page numbering with "Header and Footer" tool.
  • Once done, switch to Form Editor to add and set up necessary form fields.

  You may find this way working well for short forms. For rather complex forms, you may find the way #2 below more useful.

  2. Using a third-party text editor

  • Create basic document structure for your form in a text editor of your choice, for example, Microsoft Word, leaving spaces to insert form fields afterwards.
  • Convert created document to PDF with FineReader PDF 15. You can do that in multiple ways, e.g. with "Convert to PDF" command from the New Task window.
  • With created PDF open, click "Form Editor" button and add and set up the form fields.
  • If you need to do minor changes or adjustments to the texts and pictures, you can do that right in FineReader PDF 15 using Edit mode in PDF Editor. To switch to it, click "PDF Tools" button on the right of the main tool pane, then click "Edit" button on the tool pane that appears.
