OCR existing PDFs and save with original file name, using Finereader Pro for Mac

I am running FineReader 12.1.5 on an iMac. I have many PDFs on my hard drive that I want to make searchable. I understand there is a way to do this by batch process. Essentially I want to be able to make all of the PDFs on my hard drive searchable, but I do not want to create a new file. Instead, I want the app to save them, once they are searchable, under their pre-existing file name.

I find that I am unable to import any files/images into the app unless I have created a "new" task and none of the options in my menu are "convert to OCR". They are all "convert to" some other file format.

Maybe I am missing something, but the help file is rather sparse on this and if someone has figured out how to do this, I would appreciate the input.

Thanks.
