We get some bills in every month and are trying to automate the process of converting them to Excel so we can extract some figures. At present when we convert the PDF they are all coming out different even though the PDFs are all the same (Front page of bill, second page, third page etc contains details).
I know they there can be a table layout is there a way to create templates so we can use one template (table layout) with one bill for a customer but then another template for another customer.
If we can create different layouts/templates it would be easier as we have about 20-30 layouts and would save us having to check each page as some bills would be about 30 pages

It is possible to create an area template for certain document layout to extract this or that field value from similar pages. to do so you will need to send one typical document to verification stage, draw blocks there and save the resulting area template. For more details please refer to RS Verification Station Help > Interface > Main window > Menus > Areas.
As soon as you have typical layout saved, then you can load it to process similar pages in RS itself, just specify the saved area template in the workflow properties. Please see the corresponding option in RS Main Help > Remote Administration Console > Dialog Boxes > Workflows Node Dialogs > Workflow Properties > Process tab > Advanced Processing Settings.
Please note that area templates are reasonable only for images with the same layout and resolution. Besides, you should either sort images with different layouts in advance or implement a script that would e.g. search some keyword on the page and based on this information move current image to the corresponding folder specified as input for workflow with certain area template loaded.
