We have a prospective client who needs some sort of definition of how invoices are counted against their FlexiCapture for Invoices license. Here is MY definition as I understand it, and that's what I sent him:
One invoice is deducted (or consumed) from the FlexiCapture for Invoices license count when the following process takes place:
1. A scanned or digitally born invoice image file is submitted to FlexiCapture for Invoices via hotfolder, FTP site or email attachment
2. FlexiCapture ATTEMPTS to recognize that document as an invoice (successfully or not)
3. FlexiCapture ATTEMPTS to extract the data from that invoice (successfully or not)
4. If the scanned document meets one of the two following conditions, the recognition/extraction attempt will still take place, and the invoice count will still be deducted from the FlexiCapture for Invoices license count:
An invoice scanned with poor resolution quality, incorrect page orientation or other distortion that would cause FlexiCapture to fail to recognize it as an invoice
A non-invoice document submitted with a batch of invoices
Let me know if ABBYY has this definition anywhere in the manuals, help files or web site so that I can refer the client to the "official" ABBYY definition of an invoice transaction.

Hello,
The license counts all processed pages even marked “annex” or “Unknown”. Note that for using the ABBYY FlexiCapture for Invoices, the license should contain the Custom component EuropeanInvoice from the vendor ABBYY HQ.

Thanks for the response, Ekaterina. Unfortunately, this help article doesn't tell me how invoices are "consumed" against the FlexiCapture for Invoices license page count. I need some sort of documentation on this for the prospective client.
If you can think of anywhere else in the documentation, help files or ABBYY web site where this is documented, please let me know.

You may contact your regional support and ask them to provide you the required information (in fact - to confirm your guesses) in more official way.
