Hello,
If you need to export images via scanning station please use “send by Script” option. If you need to export proceessed images please clarify what product do you use and describe your scenario in more details.
Thank you, Ekaterina. This is for Recognition Server, and I had a feeling, scripting would be the only way :-) All good, I will go and flex my VB muscles.

You can accomplish this by going to the 6.Output tab of the Workflow Properties and under Specify Output Fomats click New... and in the dropdown you can select a way to send it via email
This will allow you to send the output to the person who sent the document to recognition server.
Let me know if you are trying to accomplish something different.
