Hello,
You may use IDocument::method CheckRules() to find the rule. Then you may use the "User commands" to bound the rule
Keyboard shortcuts for User Command can be set up in tools > options > Keyboard Shortcuts ("Tab" cannot be used as keyboard shortcut, but you can use other shortcuts, like Alt + 3)

How to create User Command and Call CheckRules() is known to me. But my problem is...I don't want to rules to run when data changes for a text field. Probably there is a work around using custom actions....but need details of that.
