On certain invoices £ is being read as € for the currency. Autoreplace settings change it to EUR ( I have removed this temporarily for the sample shots). Customer is GB company but does receive some euro invoices, so I can't remove the euro symbol from dictionaries or allowed values. OCR is set to slowest/fullest despeckle is on, images are good quality, sometimes field is good confidence, sometimes bad. Default currency is GBP. What can I do to prevent this?

I seem to have solved it, difficult to test as it only happens on certain invoices. The Currency field has a custom data type called CustomCurrency which uses a custom dictionary which does not include the £ sign .
are you using the abbyy std european invoice with the global currency helper script?
Yes I think we have the latest Invoices demo project, in the global script rule "£" is an allowed value
