Our stations are currently getting overwhelmed, sometimes taking 30 minutes to save a document definition in PSS and sometimes longer to create a batch type. I suspect that this is due to the large number of batch types and document definitions we are utilizing.
We have over 500 different document definitions and batch types currently in use
If we were to upgrade our application server, would that improve performance on our stations?
If so, what hardware would you recommend for a high volume application server that only processes structured documents?
Is there anything we can do to speed things up in the mean time?
