I know there is an option change the field name using caption in field properties. I would like to call a field value as as caption. Any scripting possibilities there?

i found nothing in the object model, i think it is not possible to change the fieldcaption in an script.
What is your goal?
Please refer the attached table images, planning to capture that using table in layout. In Dates column I am taking that as a start date and end date. But I need that date value to be in respective columns. How is that possible?
You may rename the field, which you want to use, via Alias Name
