Dear all,
Has anyone hints to get FlexiLayout to recognize multi line phrases?
I use "Take spaces into account", "Permit multiple lines" and set "Line break penalty" to 1 and use spaces in the phrase like mentioned in the help. Also I played around with "Max space length" and narrowed the search area down.
If I use parts of the phrase it recognizes both parts (if they are in one line) but not if they are in multiline.
Thanks a lot
Sabine

Hello,
We offer you to use Paragraph elements or cover the required multilines by Region elements.
Hello,
Thanks for your help but I couldn't figure out how this would help.
I try to find keywords/phrases in a letter which is formated in different sections. So I am able to find the specific section which can be a Paragraph in FlexiLayout but I need some phrases out of it which are sometimes multiline or not. So I tried Static Text for this. Is it possible to only search in this Paragraph for Static Text via some fancy advanced relations in the Advanced tab? And if so, how? Some inputs where to look in the help would be great help.
THX
Sabine
Hello,
Could you please send us the images and schema which demonstrate what region do you want to extract?
Also please note that you may extract values from the RSA (restrict search region), not only from full pages
Hello @Ekatarina,
Documents are confidental so it has to be an example:
Section 1
Interfaces
3x DisplayPort, 2x Mikrofon, 1x Line-In, 1x Line-Out, 2x HDMI, 1x DVI, 1x RJ-45, 2x USB 2.0, 6x USB 3.0, 2x USB-C 3.0, 1x Kopfhörer
Section 3
I check for section/paragraph "Interfaces" and there I need to check for some of the interfaces ("USB-C", "Line-In", "Kopfhörer", ...) and they are not always ordered the same way. In some cases I also have to check for the exact number like "2x HDMI". As you can see, there are spaces and so there can be newlines. I need to find the complete "2x HDMI" not only "2x" or "HDMI" which works only if there is no newline.
so I need a checkmark: interface is there
also: number n of the interface are there
in some cases: how many of the interface
Hello,
Could you please create the mock up images? Please show what region you want to capture on them.

I hope this helps. Thank you Ekaterina.
Hello @ekaterina and @sabine, did you solve this problem? I am facing the same issue.
So sorry I didn't see this sooner. I went through this problem too only to discover that all I was missing was curly brackets around the search text...{your text here}. I don't know why but these seem to be required in order for the multi-line/take spaces into account options to work properly. It may be a bug. Also seems to be the case in FC12 for invoices.
