We're working on a platform that is using Cloud SDK for OCR. As part of the platform, users may need to select a block of text that spans across multiple pages within a document (PDF). If the document contains a header or footer, then this is included in the users selection, but we don't want this to occur.
Is there a way we can exclude the header and footer automatically? If not, is there a way that the user can manually define an area within a document that they want to exclude?

Hi, Cloud OCR SDK does not support such functionality, we cannot change the layout structure before exporting. However, ABBYY FineReader Engine allows accessing and modifying the document layout before exporting. Possibly, you can use this offline product instead of our cloud solution.
