Check for existing text layer in document

Hello,

is there a way to check if a document already has a text layer?

Check should be performed with the API.

This possibility is not supported in ABBYY Cloud OCR SDK. As the text layer does not always correspond to the image layer, Cloud OCR SDK recognize PDF files as it is an image file.

In ABBYY FineReader Engine it is possible to select one of these modes:

Both text and image layer of the source PDF file are used.

Only text layer of the source PDF file is used, the image layer is not used.

Text layer of the source PDF file is not used, the image layer is recognized.
