am a longtime user of Abbyy Finereader 9.0 and usually very satisfied with the results.
But today I got a problem:
I scanned a thick book and wanted to OCR it. After processing by ABBYY, the result contained additional spaces between the characters.
It is a german text, I show an example:

What can I do?

Now I found, when I export the result to Word-docs, I get a nice doc without such spaces.
But I would like to export to PDF containing the original Image, as sometimes there are up to 25% errors due to a bad scan. The text should be behind the image, so that I can cut and past to quote that part.

Hello Andreas!
Could you please specify what product do you use: ABBYY FineReader 9.0 (desktop product) or ABBYY FineReader Engine 9.0 (software development kit)?
In case this is ABBYY FineReader 9.0 (desktop product), please try the following:
1. Launch ABBYY FineReader 9.0;
2. Go to Tools > Options > Advanced tab;
3. Click Reset to Defaults... > Ok > Ok;
4. Try to process the document once again.
