Made some edits to lines of text. After deleting some words the remaining words re-orient themselves to leave wide spaces in between:
What do you think is happening? Is there any setting I can change so that the remaining words all compress to the left once other words have been deleted?

Earlier you wrote that you're using FineReader 14. If so, try The latest FineReader PDF 15 - PDF editing has been significantly improved in it: you will be able to edit whole paragraphs of text in PDFs in FineReader PDF 15.
