Based on documents and data collected during runtime, ABBYY online learning applies machine learning to the skill training set for classification and data extraction. The online learning service rebuilds the learning models in the background, benchmarks the results, and determines if the results should be incorporated and published into a version of the skill.

Online learning can be enabled by the user for document and Classification skill, and included in a process skill with the manual review step. Vantage starts accumulating documents once manual review operator has corrected document type or extracted fields.
