Among my PDF files I have a few thousand that are %PDF-2.0 format. The file indexing software I use does not recognize that format, so I've been hamstrung not being able to find files that I know I have saved over the past few years.
Is there a way with Fine Reader or some other program to quickly convert them to a downgraded PDF format, while preserving the OCR part and without performing a fresh OCR? I need to automate this project to make it manageable.

Unfortunately, FineReader PDF will not be able to help you with such a task.
