I'm using Abbyy Finereader to do OCR on an old newspaper scan. Mostly it does very well, but in part of one column of text, it has separated the text into two columns. I don't see any reason for that in the original scan. Finereader encloses each of those two columns in a green box. It correctly converts the text in each box, but since one column of text has been rendered into to two columns, the text is arranged wrong.
I would like to be able to select those two green boxes and tell Finereader to treat them as a single box. Grabbing a corner of either box and enlarging it to cover the area of the other box doesn't help. How can I do it?
