Symptoms

The files are not exported to the destination configured. The following error is shown in the processing notes even though the task is routed to the processed stage:

Could not export to 'Export to data files' because 'XXXXX' contains an invalid path.

Cause

There are multiple reasons for such behavior:

1. The path set in the export settings is not accessible for the processing station.
2. The path specified contains prohibited characters.

Resolution

Check if the processing station is able to reach the host specified in the export settings and if the path configured does not contain any prohibited characters.
