Symptoms

When starting the Document Conversion Service the error occurs: 

We encountered an error while connecting to ABBYY FineReader Server.

ABBYY FineReader Server is not available:
The client has successfully connected to the server, but the server is not running.

Cause

The error occurs when the Finereader Server is not started.

Resolution

To launch the server, go to the Remote Administration console > right-click the server > click Start:
