Symptoms

After adding page numbers to the document (containing more than 100 pages) in FineReader PDF the following error message appears: 

Internal program error:
E:\Agent\_work\8\s\0\Shell\Components\PdfEngine\Dll.PdfEngine\PdfBatch\Text\PdfShellGlyphSet.cpp, 779.

Cause

The situation is known to our Research and Development department and our specialists are working on fixing it.

Resolution

Please use one of the below-presented temporary workarounds to add page numbers to the document.

Resolution 1:  

1. Open the document in PDF Editor.
2. Click on the Menu at the left corner of the screen > go to Edit Content > Header & Footer > Create Header & Footer...
   
3. Set page numbering from number 1 > click Save and Add.
4. Save the document.

Resolution 2: 

1. Open the document in PDF Editor.
2. Click on the Menu at the left corner of the screen > choose Edit Content > Header & Footer > Create Header & Footer...
3. Set page numbering from number 1 and in the Pages section specify the page range (e.g. from 1 to 200) > click Save and Add.
   
4. Repeat step 3 and in the Pages section specify the remaining page range (e.g. from 201 to 300) > click Save and Add.
5. Save the document.

If the error persists, please submit a support request and provide the following information: 

1. The input document. 
2. AInfo log: How to collect the AInfo log for FineReader PDF 16.
