To install FineReader Server 14 on Windows 7 x64 and Windows Server 2008 R2, follow the steps below:

1. Download and install LocalDB 2014 x64: Microsoft SQL Server
2. Decide under which user the Server Manager will be installed;
3. Under this user, at a command prompt with administrator privileges, run the following commands:
   
   • SqlLocalDB.exe create "FineReaderServer"
   • SqlLocalDB.exe share "FineReaderServer" "FineReaderServer"
   • SqlLocalDB.exe start "FineReaderServer"
4. Create a folder by path:
   C:\ProgramData\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\ and add Configuration.xml (see attachment)
   (If you have more than one Server Manager, add them to the Remote Administration Console later);
   
5. Complete the installation by specifying the user from step 2 (Selecting a user account);
6. Launch the Remote Administration Console, delete the Processing Station and add the necessary one (see Registering the Processing Station)
7. Create folders (if you want to use the default processing scenario):
   • C:\Users\Public\ABBYY\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Default Workflow\Input Folder
   • C:\Users\Public\ABBYY\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Default Workflow\Exceptions Folder
   • C:\Users\Public\ABBYY\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Default Workflow\Output Folder
   • C:\Users\Public\ABBYY\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Scripting Demo\Input Folder
   • C:\Users\Public\ABBYY\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Scripting Demo\Exceptions Folder
   • C:\Users\Public\ABBYY\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Scripting Demo\Output Folder
