The background task panel at the bottom of the screen can be hidden both on the Project Setup Station and the Verification Station by pressing the cross in its top-right corner.

On the Project Setup Station you can restore the background task panel by the checkbox in the station option (Tools > Options > Show background task panel)

However, the Verification Station does not have a similar setting in its Tools menu.

Answer

To restore the background task panel on the Verification Station you can use the ShowBackgroundTaskPanel parameter in the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Shell\Options\Processing

Set the parameter value to “true” and the background task panel will start showing again.

Please note that before making any changes in the registry you should close the Verification Station and end all active FlexiCapture processes in the Task Manager.
