Symptoms

When connecting to the server in Rich Stations (Project Setup Station, Verification Station, etc.), I choose the Define authentication parameters in Connection Settings and define the FlexiCapture user's login and password. Despite this, the station still logs in to the FlexiCapture server under my Windows account.

Cause

This is a known issue. When the server address is specified as http(s)://localhost or http(s)://127.0.0.1 (which is possible when the station is run from the same computer where the Application Server is installed), both the Define authentication parameters and Proxy settings are ignored.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, specify the server address as http(s)://<ComputerName> or http(s)://<IP address>.
