In Scanning Station while scanning via ISIS protocol an error occurs:

Insufficient Permissions

Cause

To interact with scanners via ISIS a third-party library Captiva Pixtools Toolkit is used. Versions of that library that are older than 8.5 do not support Windows 8 and later, and can cause this error. 

Resolution

Install Captiva Pixtools Toolkit v.8.5 or later.
