Is there any way to generate a PDF file with bookmarks from image files?

Answer

Yes, a PDF file with bookmarks can be created by using the "Create bookmarks from headings" in the output profile settings:

In the Verification Station, you can modify the headings from which the bookmarks will be created: Using styles
For example:

mceclip0.png
