How to disable background recognition in FineReader PDF?

Answer

1. Open FineReader PDF.
2. Go to the Image Processing tab:
   For FineReader PDF 16: File > Options... > Image Processing.
   For FineReader PDF 15: Tools > Options... > Image Processing.
   
3. Disable the Enable background recognition in the PDF Editor option:
   
4.  Click OK.

Now, if a PDF document is opened in PDF Editor, background recognition won't be applied automatically.

Additional information

It is also possible to disable the automatic processing and recognition of pages added to the OCR Editor.
