How to update document definition version for any amount of documents?

Question

We have a large number of documents that need the document definition version updated and are looking for a way to do this in bulk or an automated manner so we do not need to update them 1 by 1. What is the best way to do this?

Answer

If you want to update any amount of documents in your batches then you can select these batches and choose Tools - Update to Latest Version

    When I try this method, I get an internal error DocumentPage.cpp 1949
    What is the reason for this?

    This only works on batches in Project Setup Station. It does not work from Verification Station on batches that are still being processed unfortunately.

    I am getting "batch is at the processing stage." when I try to do this.
