Symptoms

While processing documents with the Field with Date Data Type, the following Rule error is shown during the Verification:

The field value is not a date. Expected format: <format>.

Cause

It is possible that even though the date was captured correctly, it has a different format than the one set up in the Field properties.

Resolution

Use the Normalization Settings for the Date Data Type to set up the expected date format. As for the provided example:
