Error during only Processing Station installation on version FC 12.0.4.945: Error 1722.Action Launch_FlexiBrSvc.exe_PerfomanceCounter_64, location -installcounters

Symptoms

During The Processing Station install, the next error appears:

Error 1722. An error occured with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action Launch_FlexiBrSvc.exe_PerfomanceCounter_64, location: C:\Program Files\ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations\FlexiBrSvc.exe, command: -installcounters

Cause

This is a known issue, which is related to the FlexiCapture 12 Stations installer on Release 4 Update 3 Patch 1 (12.0.4.945)

Resolution

  1. Process the installation selecting all stations to be installed.
  2. After installation is done successfully, navigate to C:\Program Files\ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations and backup FlexiBrRes.dll file
  3. After installation is done, navigate to Control Panel>Uninstall a Program, click on ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations with the Right Mouse Button, and select Change
  4. Select the Modify option on the appearing window and uncheck all stations, except the Processing station, then proceed with deleting process
  5. Upload the FlexiBrRes.dll file within the next path: C:\Program Files\ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations
